It is summer and undoubtedly the beach, the interesting views and the new experiences are calling us. Well, although this year it is not really possible, nothing prevents us from taking a virtual walk among one of the most summer countries in East Asia – Singapore.
What to do in Singapore?
Singapore is rich in opportunities. You can sunbathe on the beautiful beaches, go shopping, visit the cultural sights, and enjoy the divine views of the city, having dinner in some of the wonderful restaurants located in the tall skyscrapers.

Wanna go to the beach?
If you prefer to visit the beautiful beaches rather than to go to a pool, then let’s go to the island of Sentosa – it is very easy to reach by train. On this island are all three popular beaches – Palawan, Siloso and Tanjong. Once on the island, everyone can commute for free, because the transport there is free – well, except for taxis.
If you get bored of sunbathing on the beach, you can also see many interesting places on the island, such as Tiger Sky Tower – one of the tallest observatories in Asia. It is said that if the horizon is clear, the coasts of Malaysia and Indonesia can be seen from there.
Let’s not forget that there is located one of the famous museums of Madame Tussauds, as well as the popular destination “Songs of the Sea” – a place where one can enjoy fun and eye-catching water multimedia performances.

Should we check the cultural landmarks?
We must not forget that in Singapore we can also see a lot of cultural attractions, so if you have enough time, you must go and see them.
Let’s go to the Chinatown neighborhood – there are countless interesting things to see. Go and visit the Chinatown Heritage Center – a place where you can see in detail the history and culture of the neighborhood over time, and must-visit are the temples Sri Mariamman and Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.
The other neighborhood full of sights is Little India. Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, the oldest temple in the neighborhood, dating back to 1881, is a must-see. In this neighborhood you can see many markets that fully reveal the culture in the country – Tekka Center, Tekka Mall/The Verge, and Mustafa Center.

Are you a fan of architecture?
In Singapore you can see some of the most interesting and majestic creations of architectural geniuses. Yes, let’s go to Marina Bay.
The main architectural landmark here is the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, which dominates the landscape. Although a bit expensive for the average visitor, it has many popular restaurants and the view is indescribable, especially in the evening. And while you’re already in the neighborhood, you just have to stop and see the Esplanade – a dream place for every theater lover – here you can enjoy various theatrical performances, go to an opera or watch all kinds of dance performances.
Gardens by the Bay – this is the “garden” that everyone should visit. There are both indoor and outdoor gardens, and the view that cannot be forgotten are the giant artificial trees that glow at night.
And if there are fans of Formula 1 and high speeds – here is the famous Marina Bay Street Circuit, which is one of the most interesting to watch when there is a racing, because it happens on the streets.
What else to visit?
Of course, there are many more interesting places to visit in Singapore. If you have time, go and see:
- Orchard Road – a 2.2 km long street where you will definitely be tempted by the many interesting shops;
- The Singapore Zoo, as well as Jurong Bird Park;
- Kinokuniya – Singapore’s largest bookstore;
- Riverside – the neighborhood where you can enjoy countless theaters, museums, as well as many restaurants, bars and various clubs.
