ATEEZ is a boy group from South Korea, formed in 2018. At first, the boys are known as “KQ Fellaz”, where their name comes from the name of the label – KQ Entertainment. Their official debut is on October 24th with the songs “Treasure” and “Pirate King”, which quickly become popular and gathered many fans from Korea and all over the world. The name ATEEZ is short for A Teenager Z – this is how the eight boys symbolize the new generation.
Up until now ATEEZ have released three mini-albums, following the story in which they are looking for their treasure, and with each subsequent mini-album they reveal bit by bit the things from this concept.
Only 5 months after their debut Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho sell out their American and European tours, and this makes them one of the most successful k-pop groups at the moment. A few months after that, ATEEZ sign a contract with the American company RCA Records to represents them outside of South Korea.
With the release of their third mini-album and promotions for the song “Wave”, the boys earn their first 2 wins form music shows in Korea, and on the awards Soribada in 2019 they won their first award – “Best Performance Award”.
On September 13th, 2019, ATEEZ announced the release of their first full length album, which is expected to come out in October.
