
Based on the Korean musical “Rho Ki-Soo”, the movie “Swing Kids” tells us the story of Rho Gi-Soo, a North Korean man who has fallen into the Geoje prison, where he falls in love with tap dance.
The movie is set in 1951 during the Korean war and shows the story of the main character Roh Gi-So, who’s in prison in South Korea. There he meets Jackson, who teach him tap dancing.


The movie promises a lot of emotions for the viewer, as well as glance back to the previous century. In the shoes of Rho Gi-Soo steps the actor Doh Kyung Soo, known also as D.O. from the Korean-Chinese boy group EXO, who played the role brilliantly. Along with him we will see Park Hye Soo, Jared Grimes and Oh Jung Se.
“Swing Kids” will be aired in North Korean cinemas starting from 19th December.
